Our primary focus is providing essential capabilities that enable seamless, reliable, and user-friendly customer migrations, both from third-party platforms to GitLab and between GitLab instances. The group is part of the DevOps Engineering team, and partners with other GitLab teams to optimize the customer migration journey. . A typical customer looking to adopt GitLab uses many different DevOps platforms and services. Artifacts such as source code, issues, ci pipelines, and files already exist, and are updated daily. Migrating an organization from these services to GitLab is therefore substantially complex and presents both technical and UX challenges. . Customer migration is crucial for GitLab's ability to expand in the market. It also provides an initial first impression of GitLab.
