The DVX Mobile Core team is responsible for . developing and advancing the architecture. of our . member app for iOS. . We aim to leverage the systems and infrastructure that is broadly available at Netflix and figure out the best way to adopt and apply them to iOS.. The Core team works with a wide range of engineering groups within the company to enable easier and more efficient patterns and canvases to be deployed to our members. Some of these changes are purely engineering-based, for example to improve key user metrics, while others serve to adopt cleaner development patterns for downstream product engineering.. Build systems & UI infrastructure that define best practices to help drive consistency, reliability, and simplicity in client code.. Architect maintainable, performant iOS client code with effective documentation that can be leveraged by iOS developers on other teams.. Leveragewide variety of experience building features and frameworks with technologies like Swift, Swift UI, Dependency Injection, Swift Testing, SPM, etc.. Assess, apply, and improve on software design patterns such as: MVVM, unidirectional state flow, modularization, asynchronous and event-based programming, modern iOS development patterns.. Develop code for testability and write automated tests upon unit and component-level frameworks to uphold product quality on a high commit-volume code base.. Keep a pulse on cutting-edge iOS technologies and software engineering practices.. What Sets You Apart. Possesses a Deep understanding of the technical landscape of iOS development and can introduce new paradigms and practices.. Self-starter comfortable with identifying opportunities and driving forward-looking technical solutions or roadmaps.. The ability to take a thoughtful, practical approach to problem-solving that considers tradeoffs and avoids over-engineering.. Exceptional coding skills, especially with Swift, and can navigate different languages and technology stacks (e.g. Objective-C, Typescript).. You are excited by ideas like server-driven UIs and GenAI for code development, and you would be interested in exploring and experimenting with these in more depth.. You understand the value of testing and know how to implement robust and clear low-level tests (including using bitmap diffs for component rendering).. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range.
