We’re on the lookout for a Phone Porting Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of phone number porting for our customers. You’ll work directly with our internal teams, third-party vendors, and customers to ensure ports are processed efficiently, issues are resolved quickly, and everything stays on track.. This is a remote role based in Australia with work performed during standard Australian business hours.. Key Responsibilities . • Vendor Communication: Manage all email communication with third-party vendors around port initiation, rejections, and completions. Keep things clear, professional, and timely • Port Request Handling: Process phone number porting requests for new and existing customers, ensuring accuracy and quick turnaround • Data Entry & Validation: Double-check all submitted information and ensure customer data is current and correct • Track Porting Activity: Maintain clear records of porting activity in Salesforce and update cases and dashboards as needed • Test Ports: Run thorough tests when ports go live, both voice and SMS, to confirm everything works perfectly • Manage Escalations: Step in when things don’t go to plan. Troubleshoot, escalate to Engineering when needed, and liaise with vendors to get things resolved • Order Hardware: Place daily hardware orders through third-party vendors. Success Metrics . • Volume of ports initiated and completed • Accuracy of submitted data • Speed and smoothness of porting processes • Responsiveness and issue resolution. What You’ll Bring . • Fluent English (spoken and written) • Experience in telephony, porting, or a similar technical field • Strong organisational and multitasking skills • Excellent written communication and email handling • High attention to detail and accurate data entry • Basic understanding of telecommunications systems • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM (preferred).
