Grafana Labs is seeking a passionate Developer Advocate based in Japan to engage with and grow our vibrant open-source community. If you're excited about observability, teaching, and building relationships with developers in Japan, this is your chance to make a tangible impact.. What You’ll Be Doing: . - Creating technical content such as sample apps, blog posts, and presentations for developers and SREs. - Participating in conferences, user groups, and online forums to promote Grafana and support our community. - Acting as an advocate and mentor for new users in Japan. - Building meaningful relationships within open-source ecosystems, especially those related to CNCF, Prometheus, or Kubernetes. - Providing user feedback to internal teams to help shape product development. - Supporting education and enablement for users across various experience levels. - Collaborating closely with engineers and product teams in an R&D-focused environment. - Reporting directly to the Japan Country Manager and working with a globally distributed team.. What Makes You a Great Fit: . - Strong technical background, possibly in software development, DevOps, SRE, observability, or system integration. - Native or fluent Japanese and strong English communication skills. - Excellent communicator with empathy and patience. - Confident presenter with experience delivering technical content to diverse audiences. - Skilled technical writer with a track record of producing developer-facing content. - Open-source enthusiast who enjoys community engagement. - Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time..
