
Lead Technical Program Manager at Workiva. Location Information: USA. The . Lead Technical Program Manager (TPM). will report through the Tech PMO in support of the Information Security organization, serving as a trusted partner to the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) and leadership team. This role drives execution across the security portfolio by providing structure, visibility, and alignment of initiatives to enterprise risk management objectives. Acting as a force multiplier for the CISO, the TPM will facilitate cross-functional collaboration, mature operational processes, and ensure strategic goals are met. The ideal candidate has deep program management expertise in technical and security contexts, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels. While primarily focused on InfoSec, the role may also flex into broader technology or product initiatives as capacity allows.. What You'll Do. Develop and mature operational processes:. Continuously improve and refine operational procedures within the InfoSec organization while also integrating with the wider technology framework. Drive execution:. Ensure effective execution across the security portfolio of projects. Provide structure, visibility, and alignment:. Ensure security initiatives are appropriately and consistently scoped, prioritized, and resourced to support InfoSec objectives. Dependency Management: . Coordinate and oversee dependencies, collaborating with teams across Workiva to ensure project success and accelerate milestones. Building Relationships: . Network with stakeholders to build cross-functional relationships that help shape, define, and execute our strategies and initiatives. Track progress against strategic goals:. Monitor and report on the advancement of security initiatives towards achieving strategic objectives. Executive Communication and Presence:. Conduct regular reviews with leadership, including the CISO, SVP of Technology, and CTO, to communicate status, risks, and required actions. Conflict Resolution: . Mediate and resolve conflicts within the program, ensuring smooth collaboration. Cross-functional Change leadership: . Partner closely with colleagues and stakeholders to lead or assist with changes that have the potential for broad-scale impact. Metrics and Feedback:. Regularly gather and report on project/program metrics, seeking feedback to improve our progress updates. Serve as a trusted partner:. Act as a key liaison to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and the InfoSec leadership team. What You'll Need. Minimum Qualifications. An undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field. 8 years of project/program management or similar, relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications. PMI certification (e.g., PMP, PMI ACP, or PRINCE 2), Advanced Certified Scrum Master (ACSM) certification, and/or proficiency with JIRA Agile are a plus. Understanding of the information security space in relation to program management. Ability to think strategically and set up systems for scale, focusing on continuous improvement (not perfection). Experience with change management. A passion for collaboration, spending the majority of your time communicating, collaborating, and coordinating cross-functionally.. Strong assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate wants vs. needs and negotiate prioritization effectively. The flexibility to navigate from the big picture to details while managing complex cross-functional projects, often with tight deadlines. Solid program leadership skills, combined with business acumen, excellent communication skills, and analytical capabilities.. The ability to understand complex concepts, solve problems, and present effective business solutions and recommendations objectively.
