Senior Staff Engineer - Ads Privacy at Reddit. Location Information: USA. The Ads Privacy team is a new and rapidly growing team with a foundational role to play in Reddit’s Ads business. We are building the technical infrastructure for responsible growth. Our core purpose is to be the enabler of velocity for all of Ads Engineering; we aim to centralize regulatory compliance, abstract the complexity of privacy constraints, and maximize the utility of privatized data. As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will be defining the technical vision for widespread, cross-organizational initiatives. This means working with partner teams like Security, Legal, and Infrastructure to deliver large-scale systems that allow the entire Ads organization to move faster, reduce regulatory risk, and keep user trust at the center of every decision.. Role Scope & Responsibilities:. Understand and audit the current state of privacy in Ads, and architect solutions for critical initiatives.. Lead large cross-functional projects end to end, from concept, design, implementation, to rollout, ensuring the highest quality and performance.. Build a privacy platform that all teams in Ads can integrate with to access necessary data in a scalable and auditable fashion.. Collaborate with engineering leaders, data scientists, backend software engineers, fullstack engineers, as well as machine learning engineers. Stay updated on state-of-the-art products and technologies, recognizing promising innovations, identifying gaps, and adapting them to Reddit's unique platform and community.. Minimum Qualifications:. A Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar STEM field or equivalent experience.. 8+ years of software engineering experience.. Deep familiarity with Ads privacy challenges (GDPR, CCPA, ePD, ATT, etc.) and experience delivering high Ads performance in line with privacy needs.. Capable of acting as an individual contributor who can design, implement, test, and launch complex product and infrastructure changes across the entire Ads stack.. Experience coordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts that span different teams, and driving alignment between diverse stakeholders. Experience leading strategic implementation and planning for risk and growth. Preferred Qualifications:. Has diverse Ads experience spanning (but not limited to) Optimization, Delivery, Targeting, Ranking, Bidding, Reporting, etc..
