Junior Software Engineer . to join our database tooling team who will be responsible for helping us develop, maintain, and support our tooling projects for Postgres High Availability, Postgres Backup technologies, and other future projects related to Postgres. This includes helping the Barman project (barman.org), the Patroni project (https://github.com/zalando/patroni), and working on several in-house tools.. Candidate Note:. This role is 100% Remote. We are looking for candidates in the region of Brazil.. What your impact will be.... Developing new features for backup technologies and/or HA technologies.. Being part of one or more open-source communities and helping the community thrive by responding to questions, reviewing code, and contributing features to the projects(s).. Being part of an internal global development team helping define schedules and meet target delivery dates for new releases.. Working with Postgres Global Development Group team members to incorporate support for newly implemented features into the infrastructure projects.. Working with our world-class support team to resolve customer issues and provide training for new product releases.. Writing unit and integration tests for both newly reported bugs and new features.. Helping grow our test automation team via our CI/CD pipeline.. What you will bring.... Some familiarity with the PostgreSQL open-source database.. Strong communication skills - English is a requirement for this position.. Professional development experience with Python.. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.. What will give you an edge.... Experience working in an open-source environment. Knowledge of C and hacking Postgres code. Experience with Golang programming language. Experience with Github Actions.
