Senior Project Manager at Liberty Mutual Insurance. Location Information: USA. Description. As a Sr. Project Manager of the Direct Distribution Channel Operations & Enablement team within USRM Insights & Solutions, you will help support driving profitable growth for a $4B channel by executing key strategic initiatives and connecting the voice of the DRC sales call center to the broader organization. The team liaises internally and across USRM stakeholders to manage ongoing operational programs as well as execute short- and long-term project work in support of these priorities.. The Senior Project Manager will primarily support USRM’s multi-year business and technology transformation (Frontier) by effectively coordinating changes that impact Direct, creating clarity and alignment with stakeholders on how best operationalize, and executing various workstreams for the direct channel. The role will manage projects that are non-cyclical and varied, aligning with the project management life cycle (initiating/defining; planning; executing; close-out) and supporting business priorities. May also perform some project work, such as research and analysis. Will be expected to manage a portfolio of projects to include those considered complex in nature with function-wide and/or SBU-wide impact.. Responsibilities:. Lead complex projects, including large-scale, high-priority initiatives, and programs that align with the strategic priorities of the Direct organization and USRM.. Partners closely with Experience, KDS, IT, Product, I&S, etc. to assess operational impacts and prepare recommendations.. Defines Frontier implementation strategy by planning tasks that will deliver the desired results and oversees day-to-day work and monitoring of progress towards goals..  Ensure changes are operationalized effectively within direct, translate business requirements into actionable workstreams and hand-offs. Identifies and gains agreement on project objectives, scope, timing, and resources.. Conducts project meetings and effectively communicates status of projects to stakeholders within and beyond the project team.. Proactively identifies risk and mitigation plans. Ensures resources are optimally sourced and deployed..  Adeptly builds consensus and gains buy-in among stakeholders across the organization..  Escalates and works to resolve issues that serve as roadblocks and/or place project objectives at risk.. Identifies and provides visibility into trade-offs between options, while strongly influencing recommended approach.. In addition to project management, may also perform some of the work defined in the project roles and responsibilities.. Provides mentoring to less experienced staff.. Qualifications. Qualifications:. Expert-level ability in managing all aspects of the project management life cycle for multiple projects at one time to include those complex in nature.. Advanced knowledge of project management tools.. Strong ability to adapt and address unique challenges in collaborative and creative ways. Project management certification strongly preferred.. Displays advanced communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills as well as advanced presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.. Advanced business operations knowledge to include understanding the function's value chain and market conditions strongly preferred.. Competencies typically acquired through a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience to include project management work.. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
