At ReflexAI, we are building the operating system for conversation performance. We believe that people will always be at the center of high-stakes conversations, and our mission is to ensure they enter those conversations with confidence and deliver an exceptional experience every time. Our platform combines hyper-realistic AI-powered training simulations with intelligent QA to support frontline teams in mission-critical conversations. Our tools work in 25 languages, are endlessly customizable to meet each business's unique needs, and are used by customers ranging from crisis support call centers to healthcare organizations to customer service teams to sales teams negotiating big deals — any organization where empathy, quality, and excellence matter in every interaction.. About this role. We've built a product our customers can't imagine living without, and our business is growing rapidly. Now we're at an inflection point: we're evolving from a product with strong market fit into something more ambitious — the operating system for conversation performance. That transformation means investing in design leadership.. As Principal Product Designer, you'll be embedded with a product pod as a hands-on IC, owning design execution on complex and ambiguous challenges. But you'll be more than an executor — you'll be a craft anchor and vision-holder for the team, raising the bar on how we design, how we think about design, and what we're capable of building. This is a role for a great designer who is also a great leader.. This isn't a role for someone who needs structure handed to them. It's for someone who creates it.. What you’ll do. Help define the vision for where our product is going, not just refine where it is — and bring the team along with you. Own the design direction for your pod, end-to-end — from early exploration through implementation and post-launch iteration. Partner deeply with PM and engineering to shape product direction, not just execute on it. Raise the craft bar across the design team through mentorship, critique, principled feedback, and modeling what great looks like. Navigate complex, ambiguous problems and bring clarity where there isn't any. Help build the design culture, systems, and standards that will support a growing team. Requirements for a great fit. You are a master of your craft — you have strong convictions about what good design looks like, the taste to back them up, and the ability to articulate them persuasively to others. You think in systems and vision: you can hold the big picture and the pixel simultaneously, and you're energized by imagining what a product could become — not just refining what it already is. Whether you've worked on consumer products or B2B, you design with the fluency and care of the best consumer apps. You've designed products that people love and use because they want to, not because they're required to.. You're a strong player/coach: You want to be deeply hands-on as an IC — full ownership, getting your hands dirty — and you naturally make the designers around you better in the process. You're a natural leader, whether or not you're managing a team.. You thrive in ambiguity — you don't wait for problems to get clear before you start making them clearer. You're motivated by impact and velocity: you move fast, push for quality, and get restless when momentum slows down for the wrong reasons. You can't stop thinking about what would make the product better — in the shower, on a walk, first thing in the morning — and you can't wait to get to your desk to try something. You communicate your design decisions with clarity and conviction, and you know how to bring stakeholders along without losing your POV. You have a clear sense of what AI actually makes possible in products — not just as a feature layer, but as a shift in what experiences can exist — and that perspective shapes how you think about what to build. You experiment actively with AI-powered tools and workflows in your own design practice. Not because someone put it on a list — because you can't help yourself.. What we offer. Some of the most rewarding work you will ever do, solving real problems and helping people be the best versions of themselves. Working alongside a team that is exceptionally smart and ambitious, but also humble and kind. Flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the United States. Generous retirement, equity, healthcare, and PTO policies
