Design and implement scalable, reliable backend systems - from architecture through production deployment.. . Harden and optimize the platform for stability, performance, and release readiness.. . Lead implementation of backend services, APIs, and data models with a strong focus on maintainability strategies.. . Experience in data modeling and working on No SQL database like MongoDB as Unqork heavily uses MongoDB.. . Set technical standards and establish best practices across code quality, architecture, and system design.. . Act as a hands-on technical leader reviewing code, debugging complex issues, and improving performance where needed.. . Collaborate closely with Product, QA, and Design to translate business problems into well-structured technical solutions.. . Hands on experience with ability to utilize AI for development and analysis.. . Ask the right technical questions early to clarify requirements and reduce downstream risk.. . Help define engineering roadmaps, technical milestones, and delivery metrics.. . Improve development workflows and processes to increase team velocity and reliability.. . . What U bring:. . . 5+ years of relevant backend engineering experience building production systems.. . Proven experience designing and implementing complex software systems end-to-end.. . Understands Database Modeling, managing complex Database Transactions, and ensuring data integrity across distributed systems. . . Strong experience with API design. . . Deep knowledge of data modeling, normalization, query optimization, and indexing.. . Experience with NoSQL databases such as . MongoDB.. . Experience building REST and/or GraphQL services.. . Strong proficiency in a modern backend language (Node.js preferred).. . Experience shipping highly reliable systems in cloud environments.. .
