About the Medical Assistant Role. The Medical Assistant plays a vital part on the clinical team in delivering high-quality, virtual-first primary care to patients across the country. This role is responsible for supporting clinicians by managing follow-ups, coordinating care, and helping patients navigate their healthcare experience through a chat-based platform. This is a full-time, remote position which requires high-speed reliable internet access. The schedule is dependent on business needs and may include any combination of days or hours to service a 24/7/365 clinic.. What You'll Do. . . Support clinicians with patient coordination tasks including but not limited to:. . Pharmacy communication and prescription support. . Referrals and prior authorizations. . Scheduling and follow-up outreach. . Provide empathetic, patient-centered communication internally and. . externally.. . Accurately and thoroughly document tasks and communications in the. . electronic health record (EHR). . Identify workflow issues and escalate when needed. . Participate in team huddles and quality initiatives. . Ensures compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards. . Other duties as assigned. . . What You'll Bring. . . Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent). . At least 3 years of medical assistant experience required. . At least 1 year of prior telemedicine experience required. . Comfortable working independently and handling high-volume patient interactions. . Proficient in navigating various telehealth platforms and EHR systems and adaptable to evolving technology, including AI-driven tools and digital platforms. . Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills. . Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage time effectively in a remote work environment, with reliable high-speed internet access. . Able to work weekends and assigned holidays as part of your regular schedule. . Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. . . What We Offer. Pay Range: . $18 - $21/hr .
