Staff Accountant - Revenue. PRIMARY PURPOSE. To ensure accuracy of financial data; to maintain and analyze data; to prepare monthly financial reports, journal entries and general ledger (GL) account reconciliation.. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Reconciles sub-ledgers to GL; prepares monthly journal entries and GL accounts.. Assists in month-end close and consolidation process, financial report and audit process.. Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis as directed.. Maintains and analyzes balance sheet accounts and ensures they are accurately stated; conducts timely account reconciliations.. Performs client audits and reporting.. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Performs other duties as assigned.. Supports the organization's quality program(s).. QUALIFICATIONS. Education & Licensing. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent preferred. Accounting courses preferred.. Experience. Four (4) years accounting and/or financial analysis experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required.. Skills & Knowledge. Strong oral and written communication skills.. PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.. Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge.. Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits.. Experience with General Ledger (GL) accounting and account reconciliations.. Analytical and interpretive skills.. Good detail orientation.. Strong organizational skills.. Good interpersonal skills.. Ability to prioritize and multitask.. Ability to work in a team environment.. Ability to communicate financial information effectively to internal stakeholders..
