Senior Product Manager at Agility PR Solutions. Location Information: . About the Role. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own a core area of the Agility platform as we evolve it into an Agentic product. You will take your area from customer problem to shipped, adopted capability — running discovery, defining requirements, prioritizing the backlog, working side by side with engineering and design through delivery, and measuring what happens after launch.. This is not a role focused only on adding AI features. You will work out how AI should change the specific workflows you own — whether that is monitoring, journalist discovery, outreach, reporting, or reputation intelligence — and make sure the result is something customers trust and use every day.. You will also lead a small team of Product Owners. That means setting direction for their areas, raising the standard of how the team does discovery and defines requirements, and developing each person's judgment so they can make good calls without you in the room.  This job is hands-on product work and also making the people around you more effective.. You will report to the VP of Product and partner daily with engineering, design, QA, customer success, sales, marketing, and managed services.. What you’ll do. Own Your Product Area. Own the roadmap and backlog for one or more product areas, aligned to the broader platform strategy. . Run customer discovery — interviews, support and customer success feedback, usage data, win/loss, competitive review — and turn what you learn into clearly defined problems worth solving. . Write clear product requirements, and acceptance criteria that engineering and design can act on without guesswork. . Prioritize ruthlessly across new capabilities, customer escalations, bugs, and technical debt, and explain your reasoning to stakeholders. . Work with engineering and UI/UX through refinement, sprint planning, and review; make scope trade-offs that protect both dates and quality. . Define success metrics before launch, then track adoption and usage afterward and iterate based on what the data shows. . Create a strategy for accuracy, evaluation, explainability, and guardrails for Agentic features, so output is useful and defensible for enterprise customers.. Coordinate launch readiness with marketing, sales, support, and managed services — release notes, demos, enablement material, and documentation. . Validate direction directly with customers, agencies, and communications leaders through demos, beta programs, and follow-up conversations. . Bring recurring customer needs surfaced by managed services and customer success back into the platform as repeatable capabilities. . Contribute market and competitive insight to positioning, packaging, and pricing discussions.. Represent the customer inside the company, including saying no to good ideas when they aren't the right ones right now.. Lead the Product Owner Team. Manage a team of Product Owners: run regular one-on-ones, set clear expectations, give direct and timely feedback, and handle performance and career development. . Give each Product Owner clear ownership of their area, then hold them accountable for the outcome rather than managing their tickets for them. . Set consistent standards across the team for how work is defined, refined, estimated, accepted, and released, so quality does not depend on who happens to own the story. . Review the team's requirements and backlogs regularly, and raise the bar where the thinking is thin or the acceptance criteria are vague. . Resolve prioritization conflicts between Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders, and escalate to the VP of Product only what genuinely needs escalating. . Balance workload and coverage across the team, including during absences, escalations, and competing release pressures. . Work with the Scrum Master and Dev Managers to keep delivery predictable and to fix process problems at the root rather than sprint by sprint. . Keep the team connected to customers and to the wider platform strategy, so people understand why the work matters and not just what is due.. Contribute to hiring and onboarding for the Product Owner team as it grows.. What You'll Bring. 5-8+ years of product management experience, including ownership of a product area or set of features end to end.. Experience building B2B SaaS products, ideally for enterprise customers. . A track record of taking features from discovery through launch, adoption, and iteration. . Strong writing skills applied to product work: requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and clear internal communication. . Experience working in an agile environment in close partnership with engineering and design. . A working understanding of AI-enabled product experiences — generative AI, search, recommendations, automation, workflow design — and how to judge whether the output is actually good.. Comfort with data: pulling usage numbers, reading dashboards, defining metrics, and using evidence to support decisions. . Strong customer discovery and interviewing skills. . Sound judgment about trade-offs between customer value, technical feasibility, effort, and business impact. . 2 years experience leading, mentoring, or managing Product Owners, business analysts, or junior product managers — formally or as a team lead.. The ability to give direct feedback, have uncomfortable conversations early, and help people improve rather than working around them.. Preferred qualifications. Experience in PR, communications, media intelligence, social listening, marketing technology, reputation management, or related industries. . Experience working on AI assistants, copilots, agent-assisted workflows, or automated decision-support features.. Familiarity with media databases, news and social-data workflows, content intelligence, or campaign measurement.. Experience with data-rich products, analytics platforms, CRM, or workflow software.. Exposure to enterprise requirements around security, integrations, and implementation. . Hands-on familiarity with analytics tools, or API-driven products. . Direct people-management experience, including performance conversations and career development.. How You Work. Customer-obsessed, with genuine curiosity about the realities of PR and communications work.. Detail-oriented and accountable — you own the outcome, not just the handoff.. Comfortable in a fast-moving environment where customer needs, AI capabilities, and market expectations are changing quickly.. Data-informed, without losing sight of product quality, usability, and customer trust.. Collaborative and direct, able to bring clarity across teams with different priorities.. Generous with context and credit — you would rather build a capable team than be the only person who knows how things work.. Willing to challenge existing assumptions and simplify complex workflows.. Why You'll Love It Here. Fully remote work environment  . Collaborative culture – and key tools enabling it  . Competitive compensation package  . Health, Dental, & Vision benefits  . RRSP matching  . Life Insurance. Employee Assistance Program (EAP)  . Career Development & Progression opportunities   . Paid Vacation, Personal Days, and Sick days  . Flex Fridays in Summer, Week off between Christmas and New Years'  . No Internal Meetings Fridays  . Why This Role Matters. Agility already supports the major stages of the communications lifecycle: finding journalists, managing outreach, monitoring coverage, listening to social conversations, measuring impact, and delivering reporting and insights. The product managers on this team decide, feature by feature, how those capabilities become a more connected, intelligent, and Agentic platform — one that helps PR teams move from fragmented tasks and reactive reporting to faster, more informed action.. Compensation. The base salary range for this role is C$125,000-C$150,000. Final compensation will reflect the successful candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.. This is for a vacant position.. AI Usage. We use technology to make hiring smarter, faster, and more personal, never less human. Artificial intelligence (AI) tools help us manage applications efficiently and highlight qualifications that align with each role, allowing our recruiters to focus more on meaningful conversations with candidates. AI does not make hiring decisions at Agility. Every decision is made by people, our hiring managers and recruitment professionals, who are trained to apply sound judgment and equitable practices at every stage. We believe technology exists to amplify human insight, not replace it. That belief shapes how we build relationships, tell stories, and grow our teams.. At Agility, we strive every day to build a more inclusive work environment and introduce tools that enable it. We strongly encourage applications from all people regardless of race, religion, gender, age, disability status or sexual orientation.. Even if you find yourself not checking all the boxes of our listed requirements but you are excited about this opportunity, we'd love to hear from you anyway. Our Talent Acquisition team will review your application for this role, and other potential role matches open now or in the future.. If, at any stage of the application process, you require accommodation owing to disability or a medical need, please let us know at [email protected] for us to make appropriate arrangements.
