Manager, Software Engineering - Editor Usability at Figma. Location Information: USA. Editor Usability is at the core of Figma’s Design Tools pillar, and is directly responsible for the experience of designers working in the Figma editor. Our team’s work creates the high quality and performant experience that Figma users have come to expect. As Figma’s product offerings continue to grow and evolve, Editor Usability’s work is critical to making sure that other teams are able to offer the same quality editor features in their products. We’re looking for an experienced and accomplished engineering leader to join us in our mission to scale Figma while upholding the quality and craft our users love. . This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.. What you’ll do at Figma:. Build and execute on a long-term roadmap to ensure that Figma’s Designer experience remains world-class, and that Figma’s internal product teams are able to leverage our Editor capabilities across our entire suite of products. Work closely with cross-functional partners and other engineering teams to push the envelope for craft and quality in Figma Design. Hire, manage, support and develop a team of engineers, including staff level engineers. Partner with product and engineering leadership to set strategy, priorities, and mission for teams and projects. Establish trust within and across teams by creating accountability and a positive work environment in partnership with other leaders in the organization. We'd love to hear from you if you have:. 2+ years of experience managing and leading a high output engineering team. 5+ years of experience building and maintaining scalable software systems. Demonstrated leadership skills in building a high-performing and highly engaged engineering team; including a proven track record of motivating, mentoring, and guiding senior engineers, and hiring top industry talent. Demonstrated exceptional ability to work cross-functionally across Product, Design, and Marketing, as well as collaborating with other engineering teams to ship both customer and internal-facing projects. Technical curiosity - you should be ready to learn and grow alongside your team - and a love of design and craft. While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:. If based in Figma’s San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has the annual base salary range stated below.    . Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range.
