
Benefits Manager - Health and Wellness at labcorp. Location Information: USA. The Health and Wellness Benefits Manager plays a key role in shaping the direction of health and wellness programs to align with workforce needs and business goals. This role is also responsible for the day-to-day administration of employee health and wellness programs. The purpose of the role is to deliver high-impact benefit offerings including medical, dental, vision, mental health resources, and wellness incentives that support employees’ physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This role manages both the operational execution including eligibility management, open enrollment, vendor coordination, issue resolution, and compliance with ACA, HIPAA, and ERISA and the strategic development of benefit programs to ensure they are cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.. Health & Welfare Benefits Strategy and Administration. Oversee the administration of medical, dental, and prescription drug plans, including day-to-day operations and escalations.. Provide plan design recommendations based on market trends, utilization data, and cost analysis.. Manage life insurance, voluntary benefits, COBRA, and executive perks programs.. Lead the planning and execution of Annual Enrollment, including system readiness, communications, and compliance.. Vendor and Partner Oversight. Manage relationships with key vendors (medical, dental, pharmacy, life insurance, wellness, and benefits administration platforms), including RFPs, onboarding, and issue resolution.. Track and enforce vendor service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure timely resolution of working error reports.. Oversee benefits invoice reconciliation and ensure timely, accurate payments.. Wellness and Engagement. Support execution of wellness operations and programs, including the annual wellness screening campaign.. Collaborate on communications to promote benefits understanding and engagement throughout the year.. Compliance and Governance. Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, 5500s, SPDs, SARs, San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance, Rx DC filings).. Maintain and update benefit policies, plan documents, and required employee notices.. Support regulatory reporting and audit activities.. Global Support. Manage Canada and Puerto Rico absence and benefits programs, partnering with internal and external stakeholders for smooth delivery.. Support leave integrations and cross-border coordination with payroll and HRIS teams.. Analytics and Reporting. Analyze plan utilization, employee feedback, and industry benchmarks to inform strategy and cost management.. Provide dashboards, executive summaries, and recommendations based on health plan and program performance.. Communications and Change Management. Manage the development and execution of benefit communication campaigns to drive employee understanding and engagement.. Ensure clear and timely delivery of benefit-related messaging, including during Annual Enrollment, plan changes, and wellness campaigns.. Maintain and regularly update benefits content on internal platforms, ensuring information is accurate, timely, and easy to navigate.. Collect and analyze employee feedback to improve the clarity and effectiveness of benefits communication efforts.. Minimum Education and Experience Required:. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.. 7+ years of experience managing employee health and wellness benefits in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment.. Excellent understanding of benefit compliance requirements (ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.).. Strong knowledge of medical, dental, Rx, life insurance, and voluntary benefit programs.. Experience managing benefit vendors, contracts, and SLAs.. Familiarity with wellness program design and administration.. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.. Preferred Qualifications:. Familiarity with benefits and leave practices in Canada and Puerto Rico.. Experience with benefits administration in unionized environments.. Experiencing managing multiple vendor partner relationships. Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing/workflow systems.. Workday experience preferred.. Skills and Competencies:. Proficient in data analysis, benefit invoicing, and reporting tools.. Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.. Ability to evaluate and recommend plan design changes using financial modeling, utilization data, and market benchmarking to drive employee engagement.. Skilled in interpreting health and benefits data (e.g., claims, trends, utilization, ROI on wellness), and using insights to inform decision-making.. Strong writing and verbal skills with the ability to simplify complex benefits topics for diverse employee populations.. Strong planning and execution skills; able to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver on time and within scope.. Collaboration effectiveness and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.. Working Conditions:.
