
Vice President - Finance (Eyewear & Software) at VSP Vision. Location Information: USA. Responsible for all domestic and international business controlling functions for the Eyewear & Software pillar including accounting, compliance, financial and market analysis and merger and acquisition (M&A) support. Partners with executive leadership to support financial strategy, business operations, growth initiatives (including M&A) and ensures financial and regulatory compliance.. Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, inventory accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP and internal policies to support the strategy and financial activities analysis for all lines of business under the Eyewear & Software pillar. Primary responsibility to develop, implement, execute, and monitor business controller policies, procedures, and controls. Act as the key point of contact for Company with all Finance teams, ensuring timing and accurate completion of finance functions. Produce actionable management information and analysis issuing periodic financial and operating reports, interpreting operating results, and ensuring specificity in accordance with appropriate accounting standards. Develop and lead the management and preparation of finance committee financial packets, financial reviews, and annual/5-year plan reviews. Support implementation of financial improvements to achieve revenue and profit targets. Collaborate with business leaders to evaluate existing financial systems and processes. Recommend modifications and implementation of systems and processes more advantageous to Company’s strategic financial goals. Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and external regulations. Support internal and external audits, and regulatory reporting requirements. Maintain a strong control environment and proactively recommend enhancements. Lead and support finance-related activities for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures, including:. Financial due diligence: Assess target company financials, working capital, revenue recognition, and cost structures.. Purchase price allocation (PPA): Coordinate with consolidated accounting and valuation teams to ensure accurate allocation of purchase price to tangible and intangible assets.. Integration planning: Collaborate with acquired business functional teams to develop and execute integration strategies.. Post-acquisition support: Monitor financial performance of acquired entities, ensure alignment with corporate policies, and support transition to internal systems and controls.. Lead and develop high-performing finance teams across multiple geographies and across all lines of business within pillar. Conduct performance reviews, manage staffing needs, and coordinate training programs. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Participate in the hiring and interviewing process for open positions within the unit ensuring that the most qualified candidates are selected. Assure effective communications are maintained within the unit and externally. Participate in a wide variety of special projects at Corporate or LOB level, as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned. Job Specifications. Typically has the following skills or abilities:. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience. In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. MBA, CPA preferred. 10+ years’ experience with clear progression to senior leadership/management roles (preferably in a Financial Controller role), leading and motivating, cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve strategic goals . Multi-location and multi-business experience . Mergers and Acquisition analysis and integration experience . Ability to delegate work responsibility with strong interpersonal skills . Problem-solving and strategizing capabilities . Progressive experience leading teams and managing projects . Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate with peers, subordinates, and executive management. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Proven track record of influencing constituents for optimal results. Flexible and able to quickly and effectively change priorities and direction. Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills. Excellent maturity and judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial environment; maintain composure under pressure to balance competing priorities.
